This page summarises each change to our legal documents in plain words. The documents themselves are what apply; if this summary and a document differ, the document prevails.
Version 2026-10-27
The Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Addendum, the Subprocessors list and the Acceptable Use Policy now cover everything Craftkite offers today. Existing members are asked to accept the new terms the next time they use Craftkite.
- More than web and mobile apps. The terms now describe standalone APIs (with the API gateway, the keys you give your consumers, rate limits and usage metering), libraries released to package registries with your own token, multi-part projects, and universal developer mode for other languages, which is best effort and checks only what the studio states.
- Craftkite Accounts. If your apps sign in their users with Craftkite Accounts, you are the controller of your users' data and Craftkite is your processor under the Data Processing Addendum.
- Project memory. What Craftkite keeps to continue your work, who can see it, and how to read, correct or forget it.
- Databases and hosting. Shared MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and SQL Server Express databases hosted by Craftkite (limits, daily backups kept about 30 days), your own database servers (you own their backups), containers by memory size, the Free plan's sleeping container and the short caching of published pages by our content delivery network.
- Usage charges. Which resources are charged as you use them, where the prices are (the public credit table), and that apps with a server are paused — never deleted — when owed usage stays unpaid after the grace period.
- Privacy and subprocessors. Amazon Web Services also hosts the shared databases of your apps, including Amazon RDS for SQL Server; package registries receive your package only when you release one; new retention periods for API request logs (7 days) and database backups (about 30 days).
- Acceptable use. Rules for packages, APIs, Craftkite Accounts, hosted databases and containers.
